This is a superb bit for the money and appears well made and is very quiet in operation. Arrived in 2 working days with uk plug and english instructions at half the price of the identical product in hobby craft. Also it fits all my airbrushes as well with an 1/8 bsp hose connection from everything airbrush. Overall very satisfied with this product.
Quiet in operation which is helped by its air on demand facility.
Exactly what i wanted and arrived on time too. Here are the specifications for the Wiltec Airbrush Compressor AF18-2:
- Airbrush piston compressor (oil-free).
- 20-23 L/min with a maximum pressure of 4 bar.
- Noise level (dB (a)) approximately 47 dB (very low noise level).
This compressor does what it is supposed to and at a fair price i would recomend it to anyone. Do not be conned into buying one of the other high priced compressors because you are being ripped off.
If you’re put off by the instructions being in german an english version is available from wiltec’s website. (i’m just about to order one so will post review later, if i remember)so, first up the plug fitted to the unit is a continental two pin plug so you need to purchase an adapter if you don’t have one, they’re available on amazon for a couple of quid. Second if your using a revell air brush you’ll need an adpator (again). What you need is a 1/8’bsp female to badger/revell airbrush hose adapter, i got oner for around £4. 50 from everythingairbrush on ebayright so once you’ve got that sorted the compressor seems to work at a pressure of around 20psi, which for a basic airbrush is fine. Paint is applied evenly and the reservoir on the pressure gauge does a fine job of ensuring air is supplied in a continuous stream. Noise is no worse than a quiet washing machineall in all not a bad little product which works fine for what i want.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Dies a great job

Excellent little compressor, take no notice of the so called serious reviewer ‘rdp’. His review makes me wonder where he got his compressor from (perhaps ebay ??). I have numerous airbrushes of various makes and have not found any problems connecting them to the compressor, as for the mains plug, well, buy outside uk and expect wrong plugs. I live in a 2nd floor flat have not had any complaints in fact the person below me did not know i was using it.
Yeah so this mini compressor is agood buy, it came to me very fast, next day even. All in english even plug is uk. Fits all my airbrushers but all mine have the same connectors anyway, i wouldnt say its silent but its ok in terms of noise, has water trap and auto stop and start, cant get any better for the price.
Great little compressor i use a large one for my murals etc but this is ideal for at home doing portraits nice and quiet but can easily do the 5ft canvases i buy. I’d add extra water trap in line though.
