Silverline 125554 Pendulum Jigsaw, blade too long

This jigsaw works well on all materials. It does not cut straight according to the guide, but it is a minor problem.

Bought this when my husband’s old one died. I am happy as he can finish waiting jobs.

This was a great price and is the first jigsaw i have bought. I have been very impressed so far and love using it. The only downside is that no blades are included, though the blades are available in decent quantity and good price too. I have built many things having used this to cut various materials to do so. Ideal for amateurs but i do not know enough to say if it’s any good for a professional.

“Does the job but the unexpected extras were naff.
, Great price

This is good for simple and occasional use i bought it for, although not really for someone needing a precise cut as the blade doesn’t quite follow the guide. :personally i’m not keen on using an allen key to fit the blade. All i all, though, i would have to say its good value if this is what you can work with.

I am very pleased with this product. This is brilliant and i highly recommend it. Great quality product and delivery for the price.

I used this make cuts in heavy duty pine pallets for constructing a 5-foot king size bed frame. I did not encounter any problems, the instructions are clear.

First class jig saw cuts chip board very easy, very good power very good for diy user would buy this again.

I found it a bit heavy but not too bad to use,now have done a few jobs with it and nice to use.

Cutting through 1/2′ ply wood i notice afterwards that the edge was badly out of square even though it was set at 90%. I checked the blade and realized it was bowing. I replaced the blade with a shorter blade which i had surplus to requirements from another jigsaw and that was much better.

First time user of a tool of such kind.

For the money this is worth it. Good quality, nice accessories with it. It’s got good heft and feels like it will last the test. Watch out for the screws to hold the cutting guide as they vibrate out of place if not screwed down tight.

This jigsaw feels like and performs like a well designed professional tool. The ergonomic design and weigh gives a feel of a more expensive piece of kit. It’s a pleasure to work with and is a worthy piece of kit for any diy enthusiast performing any task with ease and not too much strain on the wrist.

Pretty good for the price, only thing to complain about is that the chuck for the blade is a little bent so the blade isn’t perfectly straight but that hardly impacts the performance.

For what you pay this is not a bad item, the quality isn’t bad at all, my only slight concern is the manual is not very clear and it if you are not used to tools it is not easy to understand how to fix the blakes, which was very fiddly, but otherwise pleased with the purchase.

Like the power tool not the best one i have ever used but it is ok.

This jigsaw was far superior to my old one, and does a far better job. This is the second piece of silverline equipment i have purchased, and i will now look out for this make first before buying anything else.

I bought this in a hurry after our old jigsaw broke and was pleased to receive it on the following day which was a sunday. The package included a blade which i wasn’t expecting so was pleased with that too. However, after cutting a few inches through a piece of chipboard the blade had bent and made a mess of what i was trying to cut. The tool works well with my own blades so that wasn’t a huge deal. It is surprisingly weighty though, much heavier than my old one. My husband is happy to use it but i can’t for very long without getting achey wrists. One thing he did complain about is the jigsaw came with some spare parts (some little screw things, sorry i can’t be more specific) apparently a full set of these would be 4, we got 3. Probably just a packaging mistake but since we weren’t expecting any i suppose that’s still a bonus.

Seller price is good with delivery, original product and i love. I sorry no make early fedback.

Great item fast delivery item as described thank you.

For the price i wasn’t expecting the quality that this machine is, very heavy and really sturdy, works well and is very versatile.

A bit noisy but cuts reasonably well.

Does the job really well for normal occasional diy at home and for this price it really worth it.

For the money i can’t complain but would recommend spend a bit more and get a better product. This saw has a few problems as he blade is not in line with the foot and seems loose in that direction as well making straight line cuts very difficult. The foot itself began to bend as well.

I am new to diy, thus buying these cheap tools. There is no instructions in the box. So can’t comment on the tool itself yet.

  1. Seems a good strong machine so far. As long as it last a while it is fine.

Absolute rubbish, i have had to return 2 of these, without so much as cutting a piece of wood, first bent footplate, second screws for holding blade stripped.

Excellent for the price, but mounting blades is fiddly. Seems solid and well made, mine has paid for itself.

    1. Definitely not for heavy duty work, but nowhere the description suggest that it is. But even for cheap jigsaw, there is no way you can keep the angle while cutting. As described in many reviews before, useful for very light use, but don’t expect good result on hard wood (or even soft wood if it’s thick). Spend £10 more for something little better.

    1. The producy for the money was good the warranty procedure was very complicated so much i,ve given it up as a bad choice perhaps had i gone to a high street supplier with a coser contact and returns system thing would have been better but i will not be buying any more silverline power tools.

    1. Bought this for a one off job – not the best but for the price it is good. Used in anger for several months and still going strong. Some of the components are a bit of fiddle but for the price i can forgive that. For the occasional user – it is good, probably not for daily use.
