Excellent bit of kit – just what i needed for cutting some stone.
Its what you expect for your money. I dont use it alot but its there if i need it. The guard does rotate but not especially smoothly. The disc key broke on second use but to be honest for the every now and then use its good value for money. The soft start is not so much as soft as you have enough time to make a cut of tea when its ready.
Very disappointed with this product, my cutting disc jammed and i couldnt remove it, broke three spanners trying to remove it no option but to remove it for a refund.

“Hight Quality and Reliable., excited about an Angle Grinder but this one is beautiful. I have various other Ryobi tools and needed , good value for money”
I would recommend this to a friend, very easy to use as have cut slabs before, like the power indicator (blue) i know instantly weather tool is functioning or not. Have found blades that are most suitable for product very pleased with results.
Although purchased a few weeks back,i just used this item today 08-10-14 excellent tool and along with the blue spot diamond tipped cutting blade, went through my roof cope with ease, great price great tool, thanks.
Nice bit of kit this had to get some diamond discs for cutting stone.
Really good looking tool very easy to use love it well worth the money.
Great adjustability in the grinder.
I wouldnt normally get excited about an angle grinder but this one is beautiful. I have various other ryobi tools and needed this angle grinder for cutting bricks. It is well made and feels solid. The soft start facility is really useful as it allows the rotation speed to gather at a pace that allows you to handle the centrifugal force of the machine easier. So far ( approximately 300 bricks cut lengthways and one stone fireplace heath later it looks like it will do just fine.
The grinder itself is great. Shame about the pin wrench to take the disc off – it bends easily. You need to be very careful about how you tighten the disc up as you might find you cant get it off. As i said, the pin spanner bends easily and then you are scuppered. You need to search around for a replacement.
This has been great so far and cut through anything i’ve put infront of it with ease. For the price you can’t complain would recommend.
I got this in october 2016 (now april 2017). I’ve used it for cutting mild steel up to four inches thick and grinding welds smooth and it’s still tanking along as if it’s fresh out of the box. Key features:-*plenty of power*soft start*versatile auxiliary handle positions*the rear handle can be adjusted easily*pin wrench stored in the handle. I feel i must note, i’ve seen a lot of negativity about the pin wrench, i am constantly changing between cutting and grinding discs and have never damaged the wrench (or at least up to now, maybe i’ll have to eat my words someday), so take that as you will.
