I have left this review based on the mixer itself. The mixer is impressive so far with multiple speeds. Unfortunately when i received this mixer it was so obvious that it was a customer return has it was all scuffed and had rust on the part where the whisk clicks into. Unfortunately i needed the mixer for a job the next day so i had to use it so please give yours a check when it arrives.
Excellent product for home use, sturdy, used for mixing large buckets of sand and cement.
Not the best but done the job.

“Using for motar mixes, RE. Norstrand 1600w hand held power mixer tool, Don’t get too excited”
This is a nice bit of kit for a really good price. I have only used it a couple of times for mixing mortar but it feels strong and is very controllable. If it lasts, i’ll be very happy with my purchase.
Very good, used all the time, i would highly recommend.
Good mixer at a fraction of the price.
Mixes plaster well, nice speed adjustment and does not snatch well press the trigger.
Used to mix concrete with aggregate in large buckets and i have mixed several tonnes so far. The bloody thing refuses to die on me31/08/2018 – reduced to 4 stars as it finally died. Must have mixed 20 x 5ft x 6ft x 3 inch shed bases with aggregate. Many have not had the luck i have had with this unit.
Was sceptical would be any good, but have to say i’m very impressed for what it cost.
Good value paddle system which seems fine for my purposes, although paddle quickly goes rusty even if washed down.
Plastered 4 rooms, plenty of power. Paddle could be just that little bit longer to stop lower back pain. Apart from that 5 stars, great value for money.
Does the job without the back ache. I initially used a trug and tried a 4-1 mix and thought it struggled a bit, then mixed in a shallower wider bottomed bucket and found it much easier.
I was building 2 brick pillars and this worked well for me. I added the sand to the mix a bit at a time otherwise it seemed to struggle. But great for mixing 1/2 a 36ltr gorilla tub at a time.
Perfect for bucket-sized jobs ;-).
It’s a decent mixer but based on the performance seen with half a bag of mapei, i’d say it would be a bit underpowered for mixing a full 20kg bag of floor tile adhesive. However, since i never mix a full bag at once, this wasn’t a problem and the mix was smooth. For the price, it’s hard to fault.
Wire is the cheap plasticy type but other than that good comfy mixer to use.
Really good product at a realistic price. So much easier than hiring a concrete mixer for the size of job i needed it for.
Personally looked at previous reviews and other models more expensive but decided on this machine and to be honest boy am i pleased i did fantastic buy great purchase.
A very useful tool which will save you time and energy.
Good piece of kit, comes in handy when doing the odd job when a mixer is not needed. Not as big as some model’s out there which isn’t an issue to be honest, it’s easy to use and provide’s good power to knock a mix up in no time at all.
Has been used to knock up sand and cement. I have mixed a dry mix of building sand and cement up which it did no problem. I bought this because a lot of the time i only need a few buckets knocked up and it’s a real pain cleaning out a mixer for a small amount of muck. You all know that knocking up motar in a bucket is hard work. For £50 this is a good buy and takes up no room in the van. Will update this review in 6 month’s and see if it is still working well.
Bit under powered, the speed control is only on the dial, the trigger is a simple on and off, but at low speed if i hit to a dry pile of powder, it slows, so i turn it up, hits water and goes back up to speed and splashes everywhere. The ring fell of the end of the paddle within a couple of weeks, not it bangs about in the bucket alot.
Not as powerful as i thought, in fact it is incapable of mixing anything deeper than the depth of the blades; just make sure you use a large diameter bucket.
Really good who needs to spend loads when this works great 👍.
