Makita LS0714 110 V 190 mm Slide Compound Mitre Saw : The LS1013 was the best miter saw on the market for decades

Used daily for second fix on site.

I am very happy with the saw but one thing could you please send me a invoice.

Makita LS0714 110 V 190 mm Slide Compound Mitre Saw

  • Bevel cutting left 45 degrees, right 5 degrees
  • Built-in dust collection system
  • Large dimensional lumber capacity: 2 x 12 Inch at 90 degrees and 2 Inch x 8 Inch at 45 degrees
  • Smooth easy slide system allows cross cuts up to 300 mm (11-3/4 Inch) wide
  • Holders are provided on both sides of the tool to hold long work pieces horizontally

Not unhappy with this, though got a niggle wishing i’d got a bigger bladed saw. That said the cross cut length is as much as you’d get from the 255’s, so excellent for 1-2′ boards/panels. Trenching mechanism is pretty darn good but not excellent. It’s a little underpowered (makita :o) the compound angle markings are a little hard to read. All in all a nice little saw but if you’re not planning on doing any trenching i’d recommend the bigger dewalt for a few quid more.

Very good product happy with it.

This is my second makita miter saw, my other saw is the ls1013 model which i have owned for about 12 years. The ls1013 was the best miter saw on the market for decades, my only issue with it is its bulk, it is very heavy and takes up to much room in my little van so i decided to get this one. Although it is smaller than the ls1013 model it can still cut up to 305 mm thanks to its clever double sliding bar design. With its smaller blade it is limited to 55 mm cut depth whereas the ls1013 can cut up to 91 mm. A saw capable of cutting 91 mm is going to be a large and weighty machine, and mostly unnecessary considering the vast majority of timer normally cut on this type of saw is usually less than 50mm. Presently i am using this saw to trim out houses where the skirting boards are 9 inches, and it handles them with ease. The motor has plenty of grunt and slices through 2×4 studding with ease. If you are a carpenter like myself you really do not need anything larger. This saw does it all with the added benefit it can be carried with one hand. For the money this high quality saw is incredible value,.
