Big machine and very powerful. A bit noisy, but cuts really well. Love the lazer – at last i can cut accurately.
I have used this saw for some time now and have found it to be the best i have used to date.
I’ve used some top name saws and this will match them and more. Safety features are good and the laser makes things a touch easier. Adjustment of angles is simple enough and are accurate when cut. I’ve used it on softwood and hardwood and no problem. Needs a bit of checking to set it up when you unpack it but thats expected having travelled by courier, they’re not made to be bounced about. Over all very pleased with it. Hope we have a long future together .
Required calibration as the cutter was misaligned.

There are quite a few clones of this machine, charnwood, sip, pingtek and fox to name a few. A couple are identical and the the others have minor cosmetic differences. All have the same spec’, the major difference is the price with the lumberjack being by far the cheapest. I took a close look and feel of the sip and fox and other than colour and blade guard i couldn’t definitively say what the difference is. Out of the box it needs some set up with alignment and the laser needed adjusting, it doesn’t have a soft start so it starts with a fair old kick and is as noisy as hades due to it being a brush motor. It cuts extremely well but would benefit from a better quality blade. The glide when cross cutting is pretty good and slides effortlessly with the depth of cut as stated, it mitres and bevels well enough once set up another plus is that it slides forward saving valuable space in a small workshop. Blade changing is straight forward but more of a faff than a high end expensive saw in that the blade guard needs removing, it’s only a couple of screws so if that’s too much of a hassle spend a couple of hundred quid more to avoid this. For a value saw it’s worth the money, time will tell if it’s durable but so far so good and i would recommend it for the hobbyist or diyer.
Good price and a great saw, good quality saw well worth the money.
I’m very happy with this purchase. I’m not a woodworking expert but wanted such a saw to help improve my diy. Having read the reviews of all the saws on amazon, i opted for this one based on comments and price. I arrived within the stated two days, was easy to assemble and is easy to operate. It jerks slightly on stat-up, is noisy, and the dust bag doesn’t catch everything. But i expected these based on previous comments, and none of them are a problem for me. Make sure you have a suitable workbench when setting it up and before trying to use it.
After my evolution saw died on me after several years of abuse i needed a replacement. I looked at a few lumberjack reviews, and decided this was one to go for. So far i am not disappointed. Delivery was quick (next day), and having used the saw for a few days, i am impressed. The balance is good, allowing easy sliding on the rails and the power is great. The saw has a bit of a kick (my previous evolution had a slow start), but once you get over the surprise of the first few goes, its fine, especially given the power of the machine. At this price bracket it is a great buy.
Very precise cutting machine, little noisey because of powerful motor, twin laser, heavy duty built, value for money.
U receiving what u paying forgood stuff.
I found it was really accurate once i checked it so out of the box gets big thumbs up from me.
