Laser 3701 Alloy Wheel Nut Socket – Air Impact 17mm, Good solution for alloy wheels.

Superb design socket from laser that enables rapid and damage free removal of wheel nuts. Especially ideal for alloy wheels with a lacquered or polished finish as the plastic sleeve protects the vulnerable wheel finish around the bolt holes. I also smear vaseline around the plastic as an added precaution when using an air impact wrench. The 6-side design bites on the flats of the wheel nut so there is no chewing the corners even when using my snap-on impact driver. Small investment for zero damage to the wheel and zero wear to the wheel nuts. I keep the correct size in every vehicle plus a full set in my workshop. If you think this is expensive, how much is a refurb on one damaged wheel ?.

Prompt delivery and looks substantial.

Would give this 5 stars, if it had rubber on the inside to protect lug nuts.

Comments from buyers

“Great tool. Recommended to anyone who values to finish on their alloy wheels. Excellent service. Thanks, Good solution for alloy wheels., Excellent quality, protects the wheels and looks made to last”

Excellent quality, using it with impact gun and to hand torque the wheel bolts to 120nm.

Bought to go with a torque wrench for my new car. Nice design to protect the alloy wheels and seems very well made.

Have used it every day a good tool.

Great wheel nut socket and a must have for anyone with alloy wheels they wish to protect. The nylon sleeve stops damage to wheels/nut bores when undoing and the socket is as tough as they come having stood up to many, many wheel nuts over the course of a year. Fit is good and the 1/2′ drive is well finished and doesn’t snag onto the gun. If you’ve purchased a decent battery impact driver or windy gun then absolutely buy one of these to go with it.

Vinyl sleeve stops you marking your alloys. Bought the 17mm, 19mm and 21mm sockets.

Fantastic product, great price.

This is a ideal bit of kit for your treasured alloy wheels, outer plastic sleeving protects your alloy from marking & the length makes it easy to manoeuvre on to your wheel brace. I wish i’d bought the laser alloy wheel nut socket in a package set which comes with-in a small carrying case. Look on machine mart website all three laser alloy wheel nut sockets in case for less than £20.

Lasted for about 6 wheels bolts. Fractured with a loud bang which almost sent me to the ground. It had split the full length of the socket recess. Im a fairly skinny guy and was only using a short hand wrench so not even subjecting it to much force. Buy a decent quality socket and wrap some elecrical tape round it to protect your wheels.
