Used as the basis for a dust extractor.
Robust poweful vacuum cleaner. The hoses are a little flimsy looking but work well. Previous vacuum cleaner had aluminium tubes which were tough but heavy. Not used the wet function yet.
Arrived as predicted in time time for xmas. Here are the specifications for the Einhell TE-VC 1930 SA Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner:
- 30 L stainless steel vessel with water drain screw
- 5 second automated power off system for working in sync with other power tools
- Two large wheels and two castors for better mobility
- One foam filter for wet vacuuming, one pleated filter and one paper bag
- Eco vacuum cleaner, high suction power/little power consumption
Firstly, the specifications did not include the fact that a dust bag is required for fine dust. Such a bag should have been included with the package. Secondly, the connection pipes are thin plastic and lack any kind of strength – pretty hopeless when vacuuming carpet. The standard fittings connect to nothing which means that you have to buy the adaptor kit. Wheels and axles are poorly engineered and mounded in plastic. The few positives includes good vacuuming power and long hose which gives fairly good reach.
Serves my purpose very well – i. To clean up a small wood-shop area of lathe chips. I use a wide mouthed pan to collect much of this waste, but wanted a vac that would ideally work without an internal bag to do the bits that scatter in more difficult-to-access areas. I only use the machine with with the hose, open ended – i. The whole thing seems to work very well indeed for this specific job and the collecting container is easily removed using the side clips, and the contents emptied into a black bin bag. Seems very good considering a different brand was said to blow as much dust out of a poorly sealed rear, as it collected through the pick-up hose. Well done, einhell – and german engineering.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Beware frequent blockages and a flimsy head if using for heavy duty clearing
- the suction is great. The plastic attachments are sturdy
- Sucked the entire blockage up in 1 minute
Worked wonders during our restoration project serving us well as a cleaner and as a dust extraction system for hand tools. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one, but won’t need to as is as good as new still after over a year of regular use.
A very good unit let down by its accessories. How much better it could be if it had a wand and hose like henry. With a bit of ingenuity it is a very good companion to a saw or other power tool.
Fantastic german made wet vac. I use it solely for draining the last inch or two of water from my large hot tub. It has a large capacity drum, which means i do not have to keep emptying it and putting it all together again as i had to with my nümatic george®.
This is a great vacuum cleaner. I use it as a dust extractor, i’ve attached it to my mitre saw, table saw and router table all of which are plugged into the vacuum’s tool socket. This vacuum replaced and is equal to my old dust extractor which was more than twice the price of this one. I would recommend that some dust/dirt bags are fitted as it seems to operate more efficiently and for longer than without them and the filter stays cleaner as well. I purchased 6 dust bags from ebay for just under £10. Compared to my old dust extracter this is a bargain and i highly recommend it.
Product ok but no filter bag included as promised – just a bit annoying.
I bought it because einhell make excellent power tools. The only thing i did when i got it was to change the head. I had an old head off a vac that fitted and i use that i cant find fault with anything else it’s brilliant , love the power tool operation. The blower is great for getting dust out of the workshop and the fact it’s wet &dry makes it the perfect vacuum cleaner for the house and the workshop and it looks good.
Arrived quickly and works a treat; with the extensions it will even reach the spiders webs in the high ceiling of the workshop.
Easy to assemble, light weight and very effective suction – mostly been using to remove sand/brine residues from bottom of small tanks. Only down side is power take-off socket, which struggles to take standard 3-pin plugs (earthing pin doesn’t fit).
I bought this vacuum cleaner because i was moving in to a new house which needed some renovation work doing and also as i have 2 young kids, so i thought a wet a dry vacuum would come in handy. On first use, the suction is great. The plastic attachments are sturdy, but i did find it difficult to hoover the carpeted floor with it as it was sticking to the carpet. I highly recommend the vacuum bags with this cleaner, otherwise it will be a messy job emptying it. As for the wet suction, i haven’t tried it yet, as you need to change the filter first.
Lots of functions and accessories. I suggest to purchase the carton bags if you need to catch dust, sand or small stones (like me cleaning my garage. ) or in general dry materials. If you need to catch fluids then you can switch it on and go straight to get the job done. Easy to move thanks to the wheels, easy to clean and provided with 2 filters (spares available).
Used this bad boy on a build site and didn’t miss a beat. Very good vacuum for this price range and handles dry and wet with ease. Also essential ‘auto on’ feature where you can plug your power tools directly into the vacuum, makes running a skill or jug saw a pleasure as (most of) the dust and chips get sucked into the vacuum at a push of a button.
Easy to set up and so light that although i bought it for heavy duty cleaning, i did prefer it to my normal vacuum cleaner, but now i’m less sure – the suck is really powerful, so picking up objects is really only restricted by the hose diameter, which however is no wider than for a normal vacuum cleaner, so is much prone to blocking even with debris that isn’t particularly large. Apart from the hose problem, i have had to revise my 5 star rating also because with the second cleaner i bought, the wide head broke so quickly (luckily there seem to be replacements from sparestogo or i’d have been stuck with no heads at all – the crevice tool didn’t appear to be included). I hope the replacement tools are better quality than the originals.
Like another reviewer, i mostly use the einhell with an old hose and nozzles, because i have home-made adaptors to connect the dust input end of the old hose to my bandsaw and also to a ‘mouse’ sander. It’s a great workshop machine – when i have it connected to the sander, i can sand down areas of repaired plaster with virtually no dust escaping into the room, so it keeps the working area very clean – it’s excellent.
Bought for attaching to my orbital sander.
Great vacuum, incredibly powerful and very handy to have the power take off feature. Just plug the tool in and off you go. Does have the added bonus of acting as an extension cord as the vacuum itself has a long power cable. The parts are a little flimsy being plastic but as a plus they are very light.
Works great with the added bonus of the auto poor take off.
