Eberth 1600 Watt Demolition Hammer incl : Five Stars

You need arms like a gorila to hold it up.

Heavier than i remember these things being, but it has been 20 years since i last used one.

Excellent tool and reliable and robust.

  • Fill it with oil to the recommended level first
  • worth every penny.
  • Excellent tool, a big hitter

  • 36-42 Joules impact force
  • Hexagonal tool mount

Made short work of the brickwork and cost was equal to hiring a similar unit – heavy but powerful.

For diy light use this is excellent. Broke up our concrete paving well. Heavy as you would expect, but my wife handled it well.

Heavy duty beast easily broke up concrete patio very pleasedwell worth the money robust and easy to use.

Arrived on time and was exactly as described.

Haven’t actualy used the concrete breaker as of yet, but the item looks really solid and well made, but be aware this product is a pretty heavy peace of equipment.

Brilliant sorted my extra large post base’s in no time, effortlessly.

Best mains one i have had to date, works excellently.

Only used this once so far and it cuts through concrete with no problems at all.

Bought this back in may to do a large area of patio, about 10 square meters. This was going down between 3″ and 5″ of a very solid concrete. I know the mix was strong with this as i did it (very badly as it turns out). I thought this would be a gimmick but its a very serious piece of kit. In about 3 hours mostly done, with taking lots of breaks for both me and the poor neighbours. This weighs 21kg, its not light and you will need ear defenders otherwise your ears will be left ringing with extended use. Mine came with 2 flat bits and no spike, however not going to subtract from the review as it does the job.

Fabulous tool did exactly as it says on the tin.

Brilliant couldn’t have done without it for our project. Easy to use and good quality.

Had a path and shed base to break up – made mince meat of it and has done all i have asked of it – recommended. These are heavier than i remember but i am 10 years older.

Great tool makes breaking into concrete a breeze.

Excellent tool, a big hitter. My local hire shop charge £ 64. 00 per week for a medium breaker so i felt this was worth buying for under £95. At 21kg it is heavy but breaking is heavy work. I am using it to break rocky ground for fence posts. A 600mm long chisel would be useful but i have not as yet been able to source any. I am almost certain this is an identical machine to others on this site priced at up to £160. 00the machines handbook instructions are not very clear. The machine has an oil sight glass which appears dry so i contacted the seller, this was their response :-‘ hi, the maschine is ready for first use, just like it arrives. For long term use you should add oil. You can use any pneumatic oil you have. If you have further questions let us know.

Excellent buy apart from the handle being loose and unable to tighten.

I had an old block of concrete that was originally cast as a base for a ‘leg’ vice to break up. My 8lb sledge bounced off and the thought of using a hand chisel and suitable heavy hammer to remove it put me off the job for a few years. The concrete was of a high (hard) quality thanks to my late father (a retired brick layer)i bought this breaker and due to using full size road breakers many years ago, i knew it would be heavy and most likely up to the job. It took longer to get everything set up than to actually remove the concrete block totally. To say that i found this tool impressive is an understatement. I have since used this tool for other ‘breaking’ jobs and found it very capable for it’s size. A few things to consider before using this tool. Fill it with oil to the recommended level first, as it arrives with no oil in it from the factory. This is a straightforward job to do but vital for the long term use and service life of the tool. Do not be tempted to use the tool without oil in it.

I was massively impressed by this hammer, i had a concrete block under my garden that needed to destroy to put the foundations for a decking, it was 1. 4m thick, this hammer destroyed it without any problems or hassle in less than 10 minutes, i was going to rent one but a smaller and less powerful one for half of buying this one, without mentioning that they are all 110v (rental ones) and you will need to rent or buy a transformer if you don’t own one. The box that comes with a bit cheap, manual is in german, the item is delivered from germany but ordered on a wednesday, arrived by monday.

Excellent, really gets the job done.
