This must be one of the most powerful hand guns in the west. I haven’t had it long enough to give in depth report but i won’t have to worry about crankshaft pulley nuts or wheel nuts again. If you can get it on it will undo it and it isn’t any bigger than a less powerful gun. They do recommend an air tail hose for safety rather than direct connection to the airline.
Great gun, very powerful but frequent heavy use will cause anvil to shear.
Apprentice mechanic son picked this out and he says its great and it has some amount of power.
Having bought one of those fairly cheap ‘air tool sets’ with my compressor, i was always a bit dissapointed with the performance of the tools, thinking that maybe my compressor was a bit weak. The impact wrench was the biggest disappointment, not even being able to undo my car wheel nuts. I finally came up against a job that needed a meaty impact wrench, so plumped for this one a one of the cheaper quality and strong ones. It has been a revalationmy compressor is a small 9. 6cfm 24ltr reservoir model, but it is great with this wrench. Set at 90psi this has easily removed all the wheel nuts, sized on brake caliper nuts and even the crankshaft nut on both of our cars, even my range rover, which is torqued up to very high numbers. The gun is also a lot more efficient in its air usage, managing to do many more nuts before the compressor cuts in than any of my previous tools. In summary, this tool is a joy to use, worth every penny and should last ages given the excellent build quality. Throw the cheap one that came with your compressor away and get a proper onea note on my usage.
Recivied in a very short time.
Reviews from purchasers :
- An excellent tool that is MUCH more efficient and capable than cheaper models.
- Good quality tool
- Good for the price.
Bought for every day workshop use for tyre fitting etc works very well undoes tights bolts and your hands don’t get cold because its made of composite.
Used daily in busy motorcycle workshop.
Had a bluepoint one for 10 years which packed in eventually. Got this and not regretted it yet.
Bought this to replace an old sip wrench that was worn out and wasn’t expensive in the first place. It’s well finished and appears to be very good quality. There is no comparison with the old one. 5cfm) compressor air tank down to 5 bar just before the motor cut in it tightened a vw golf wheel nut to 143 lb/ft. The tool has a nice action and i like the three-postion torque selector in the clockwise direction. I’ve never been much of a fan of draper tools but i thought i’d take a chance on this because it is from their expert range and i’m glad i did.
I use this impact wrench at a tyre shop, very strong and easy to use, but i cant seem to find any protective boots for it. Already have some scratches on it.
Arrived today express on time. Used to remove wheel split rim nuts on a ww2 truck that had not been removed for decades a a breaker bar and pipe failed to loosen the nuts so i bought this. It struggled with one of the dozen nuts but succeeded after about 30 secs rattling away. All the threads were rusted. Good piece of no nonsense kit with ability to shift stubborn nuts. You’ll need a decent air compressor to run it.
Am impressed use it in a hgv work shop.
As a mechanic for trade, this impact was lasted well and has more than enough power for the price and would buy again.
Amazing impact wrench used mine for the first time today was excellent and really powerful, my dad has got an ingersoll rand that cost £200 and it is just as good maybe even better, worth the money would recommend to anyone.
Great little gun, first one got stolen but phurcased a second one immediately without hesitation.
