As a joiner the amount of time this nail gun saves you is pricelesswell built,a bit heavy but you get used to it,takes paslode nails,no need for gas and easy to clear nail jams.
I’ve used it for finishings, hanging mirrors, skirtings etc. Fantastic tool with great ergonomics making it idea for hard to gt to places.
Bought because of dewalt’s excellent reputation. The previous guns we have used have been gas operated, so this is obviously cheaper to use as it is battery powered, and comes complete with 2 batteries. Everything fits into the substantial case provided. ‘tacwise’ nails work fine with this gun. We’ve gone through about 3000 nails, and so far everything is functioning fine. Lived up to all expections,be fore i had a pasloade this is better no gas canister required and very light to handle.
Great finishing nailer, easy to load and no messing with gas as on the paslode. Solid build with a soft head leaving no marks and comes with 2 batteries and carry case.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Brilliant Machine to own
- Still better than the competition.
- Excellent nail gun from Dewalt
Great seller, well pleased with nail gun.
The dewalt dc618kb xrp nail gun was one of the biggest purchases i have ever made in my life. As i do a lot of my own diy, this nail gut made mince meat of manual tasks. I have just lined my porch way with v-lining red wood and assembled this in minutes as compared to using a hammer and punch which would have taken me days. The holes made from the nails are miniscule as compared to punching in brad nails by hand where one often slips off the bard nail making for larger holes to fill in. A truely wonderful piece of kit to have and i wish i had bought this years ago – brilliant machine, easy to use and once you get used to it (in minutes), you just cannot leave it alone. One tip is to varnish the wood first, then afterwards when filling in the holes is to use a slightly damp sponge and just lightly wipe off excess off – produces a smoother, cleaner finish.
This is a ,good nailer as the brand would suggest with the only real disappointment being the price and fact that the battery is the old fashioned type and not lithium ion. Nailer is well balanced and was right up there with the better ones but being overtaken now by the new ones coming on the market from other brands. Nails are very expensive and i use other ones of same spec at half the price which work a treat. One of quite a collection of nailers i have.
Great productas a carpenter this is a must have, makes light work of any projecteasy to use and fast.
I have been a joiner for over 30 years why have i waited so long to buy this product makes the job a lot easier with a neater end product.
My husband returned this he said it was to big for him but a great gun.
Worked and worked and worked. Built my shed with it and am very impressed. A bit heavy, and only uses thin nails – and hard woods are a challenge for it. I tend now to design things around being able to use it.(sad, i know, but i bet i’m not the first.
Excellent for the job, slightly pricey but what you pay for is what you getno performance issues so far.
Had one of these about 5 years ago. Only just started selling them. Then my lock up got broken in to and it was stolen. Ended up buying the paslode. It didn’t like the cold, was loud, half the time didn’t fire. Got fed up with it and bought this one again. 63mm nails straight in to oak with no problems. Rapid fire is great for skirting as well. Also got free delivery and arrived 2 days later.
Best thing since sliced bread.
How did we ever work without this, cladding work is now a breeze instead of a mindless numb day, this is a high spec tool which helps with industrial work.
Had 2 of the straight nail dc616 versions of this gun. One i bought in 2007 and the other in 2011. After constant use daily on 2nd fix joinery contracts they are beyond viable repair. Unfortunately they are no longer available and so had to buy one of these dc618 angled versions to swap insides (which are the same) so i could still use on sites which all supply only straight nails. The best 16g nailers by a mile if you can still buy one and a bit of a pain that dewalt are not bringing out a straight nail version of their new dcn660 gun.
Item brand new and 100% genuine.
Really good tool ,this is my second ,last one i had has worked hard for the last 5 years ,batteries and gun both packed up. Not surprised with the amount of work its done cant wait for the new one and i’m sure it won’t let me down.
This nail gun is used on a daily basis in a professional environment. I would definitely recommend.
This is my second dewalt nail gun. Very quick and handy to use anywhere. Leaves a small, neat nail hole.
