Bosch PKS 16 Multi Handheld Mini Circular Saw : Bish, Bash,

I am using it to cut pvc sheets upto 5mm.

Good quality and good idea, ideal for cutting thin hard materials such as wood panels floors, aluminium sheet, maybe tiles. Great for cutting wood, plastic, metal but only at a maximum depth of 25mm, 10mm minimum clearance from edge and can’t really see where you are cutting, would definitely recommend a straight edge to guide. Build quality good and doesn’t struggle on power, handy for the right job, just not versatile enough for me personally.

I didn’t have this i changed my mind.

Super little saw does what i want it to but i thought with bosch you would get everyting but you dont you have to buy extras as acessories also the instruction manual is not very good recomend that you go on line and se the bosch film.

  • Excellent little saw
  • Handy, unique tool.
  • Check max depth is right for you

Bosch PKS 16 Multi Handheld Mini Circular Saw

  • Plunge cut function with CutControl for clean, straight cuts
  • Spindle lock for quick and easy saw blade changes
  • Dust extraction adaptor for a clean work place
  • Highly designed base plate and outer position of the saw blade enables sawing close to the edge
  • Convenient adjustment of the cutting depth for precise sawing of the workpiece

Does what it is supposed to do very well. An excellent product ,it does small jobs very well which is why i brought it. So i am really pleased with it.

I bought this for cutting laminate flooring, perfect cuts all the time, and very easy to handle.

Unique, handy circular saw for ripping mdf or ply. The bosch pks 16 looked to be the best option for ripping mdf before ripping smaller, thinner stips and it does just that beautifully. Also, thanks to the 2mm thick blade it cuts really well with zero defects leaving a smooth and clear finish. What’s more impressive – and more important to me – is it picks up pretty much 100% of mdf dust, and the dust that gets stuck under the steel base can just be collected later. It’s got a bit of weight to it so you’ll have no problem keeping it firmly face down on the surface. The cut adjustment stop is not accurate by all means but its so quick and easy to use you’ll figure out the correct depth of cut with no problem. I suppose my only negative is the hose attachment does tend to twist around well i rip and sometimes will pop out of its attachment. Mind you this could entirely be my workshop setup being a bit tight for space. Unlike the usual circular saw widely available, this one is smaller, narrower and more light weight, but vitally the plunge before you rip features insures you can cut from a flat surface unlike starting from a clear edge. You’ll find it incrediblely hard to injure yourself on this saw which as been made to keep your hands safe.

My husband is very pleased with his saw.

Brilliant little machine precise and powerful enough for them little jobs, been using this for a while now wouldn’t be without it.

As to be expected from the bosch brand the quality and design of this product, which is new to the marketplace, speaks quality and ease of use. The saw comes compactly packaged in a protective plastic case which is usable and useful for long term storage. The product is a very compact product, so i would not describe it as the best option for heavier projects, but its strongest point is its ease of use, handling and manoeuvrability. It feels safe, the adjustments o such as blade changes, cut depth and plunge cuts are easy to negotiate, particularly for those with smaller hands and the locking system is sturdy, which is what i want to feel to be confident in my ability to use. It is ideal for any household or otherwise project with a cut depth of under 16 mm. In use is easy and light to use, feels very robust, really is an outstanding product.

I use a bosch multi-tool for that but i expect there are plenty of finer blades about. I bought this less than a month ago at about the same time as i the dremmel one this is still going strong, the dremmel’s motor burnt out. It cut well although some of the blades are a bit rough if you have a lot of melamine board to cut. I use a bosch multi-tool for that but i expect there are plenty of finer blades about, (i’ll check out saxton’s to see if they have cheaper own brand blades). I’ve only used it on chipdboard & pine but it handled them very well. The depth is adjustable, there is a vacuum cleaner attachment. The only reason i’ve given it 4 stars is because it’s a bit noisier than my other powertools.

Great for those jobs when bigger rip saw is just too big.

Great little saw, ideal for cutting flooring along walls, recently used to cut ceramic tiles with the supplied blade and worked great.

I use a bosch multi-resource for that but i hope there are plenty of finer blades about. I acquired this fewer than a month ago at about the similar time as i the dremmel one particular this is however heading sturdy, the dremmel’s motor burnt out. It reduce perfectly while some of the blades are a bit rough if you have a large amount of melamine board to lower. I use a bosch multi-software for that but i expect there are a lot of finer blades about, (i’ll examine out saxton’s to see if they have cheaper individual brand name blades). I’ve only made use of it on chipdboard & pine but it taken care of them quite perfectly. The depth is adjustable, there is a vacuum cleaner attachment. The only explanation i have given it four stars is due to the fact it’s a little bit noisier than my other powertools.

Useful minimal saw – obtained for house use, sits in a small area of interest exactly where you possibly want to slash slim sheet, up to 13mm but i am utilizing it for no additional than 6mm, with out possessing a hulking fantastic circular saw that also eats numerous mm out of your materials, and makes a mess of veneer, possibly. I have utilised this on thin mdf, 6mm wpb ply, and 6mm genuine wood veneer ply, and it tends to make brilliant cleanse cuts. My only tip for new consumers is to have a go on a scrap piece 1st, it does have a a little bit odd ‘kickback’ that is pretty different to a circular saw, and wants a bit of obtaining used to prior to you destroy a get the job done piece.Nevertheless, at the time you do get made use of it it, it is really not an issue. The only downside is that dust is whooshed out everywhere you go, likely much more than a jig or circular saw, but it does have a dust port if you want to give it a go with an extractor. (there is a dust collection pot obtainable from bosch, but reviews for it are not great).

This is wonderful to keep and do the job with and straightforward to alter the depth up to 16mm. It isnt any very good for laying laminate as they display as laminate is a tad thicker and up to the edge this cuts to about about 12mm which to me is significantly to considerably i choose a 5mm hole from the edge not a 12mm hole. It is awesome to hold and effectively balanced although operating on a little something. I like the quality of this bocsh mini circular saw. I did find it tricky to place again in the circumstance although but the good news is i have a husband that is more adept at this then me. I observed it so effortless to line up in opposition to the spot i wished to lower and really easy to use as i am nevertheless a rookie in working with energy resources, but my husband attempted this out also and believed it was great to use also but he employs the following dimensions up in blades on his equipment so a great deal desired that just one for most use but did say he like the feel and maintain of this one particular far better. He also like how peaceful it was in opposition to his common circular saw, how it was easy and comfy to keep, and he like how nicely built it seemed. The vacuum attachment equipped his vacuum so sucked away the mess quite properly, his other saw’s attachment does not match. When employing the tile cutter blade he found it was quick to use, set up and make exact certain cuts exactly where he preferred themhe explained that was excellent for the hobbyist and far more in common tasks but for the even bigger work he experienced to go back again to his even bigger saws.

High quality is very good, hefty and strong development, feels a lot more like a experienced resource. Even so, there are professionals and drawbacks:fantastic:- simple to use, effective- can make plunge cuts in several resources with no problems. – you can cut bricks with the ceramic disk which is involved. Handy for starting off a again box for a socket, improved than an angle grinder for this- tends to make wonderful, straight and clear cuts. You can be rather correct with it – i applied a sharpie to make the marks on the side a lot more obvious. – you can attach a hoover which is superior for reducing dustbad:- does not go quite deep. Not deep plenty of to cut all the way through most ikea home furnishings. But it can get most of the way, and you can complete with a handsaw which is pretty fast.

He’s additional than content with it. Current for my husband,he is extra than content with it.

Properly up to the occupation, strong superior good quality.

Handy little saw – purchased for home use, sits in a little niche where you perhaps want to cut thin sheet, up to 13mm but i’m using it for no more than 6mm, without having a hulking great circular saw that also eats several mm out of your material, and makes a mess of veneer, potentially. I have used this on thin mdf, 6mm wpb ply, and 6mm real wood veneer ply, and it makes brilliant clean cuts. My only tip for new users is to have a go on a scrap piece first, it does have a slightly odd ‘kickback’ that is very different to a circular saw, and needs a bit of getting used to before you ruin a work piece. However, once you do get used it it, it’s not an issue. The only downside is that dust is whooshed out everywhere, probably more than a jig or circular saw, but it does have a dust port if you want to give it a go with an extractor. (there is a dust collection pot available from bosch, but reviews for it are not great).

Excellent works as described. Excellent works as described. Shame it doesn’t go to a deeper depth, but i knew about that before i bought it. Recommended this to many people in the months since i have bought it.

      1. Check max depth is right for you. Works brilliantly with plasterboard, laminate or thin mdf, but a real shame it can’t go a little deeper. Blade size the obvious limiting factor. Have had to purchase full size circular for loft boards and other thick wood, but i kind of knew that when i bought.

Really good for everything i use it for. Really good for everything i use it for. I like the precise setting of cutting depth, which worked wonders removing some dry wall. Only if it was 18mm max depth instead of 15mm it would just be that much more useful.

Excellent saw, i’ve probably cut around 100+ pieces of laminate with this and still going strong with the first blade. Easy to use, good clean cut – would highly recommend. Box is good size and tool fits snug but not too tight.

Love this tool but why didn’t bosh make it 18mm. Love this tool but why didn’t bosh make it 18mm depth cut instead of 16mm as most floor boarding is 18mm.

    1. I bought this to cut channels for timber to create new partitions in a large expanse of laminate floor so that i didn’t have to replace it all. It’s tricky to see where the blade goes in and you can end up cutting too far but it basically does the job and the depth adjustment feature is a nicely realised part of the product. It would probably be pretty good even without that but if your material (in my case 6mm laminate floor) is only that thickness it could potentially cut too far if say it was preset to only cut to say 9mm. All in all this is useful for cutting laminate, plasterboard and other materials and although it is rather powerful you can tame it easily enough and get a lot of wirk done, thus gaining a sense of achievement with this tool far easier than you would without it.
